Vroegst vermelde eigenaar was Claes Deijm in 1458. In 1570 aankoop door Pieter Centen, in 1686 door Pieter van Soutelande, notaris. In 1721 aankoop door Hélène en Henriette de Chivré, dochters van de protestante Henri markies de La Barre uit Anjou wiens weduwe naar Den Haag was gevlucht als gevolg van Lodewijk XIV's herroeping van het Edict van Nantes. In 1783 koop door Theodorus van Haaren, banketbakker, wiens aan koffie verslaafde commensaal Mr Hendrik des H.R. Rijks baron Hop, gezant van Hunne Hoog Mogenden de Staten-Generaal bij de Oostenrijkse Nederlanden, van op zijn kamers per ongeluk gekarameliseerde koffie bonbons liet maken die nadien naar hem zijn vernoemd. Door vererving eigendom van Franciscus Theodorus Nieuwerkerk, banket-en suikerbakker, producent van Haagse Hopjes wiens zoon Petrus Nieuwerkerk, banketbakker, confiseur, ijsmaker en producent van Haagse Hopjes de voorgevels van nummer 92 en 94 liet afbreken en herbouwen in eclectische stijl.

The earliest mentioned owner was Claes Deijm in 1458. Purchased in 1570 by Pieter Centen, and in 1686 by Pieter van Soutelande, notary. Purchased in 1721 by Hélène and Henriette de Chivré, daughters of the Protestant Henri Marquis de La Barre from Anjou, whose widow had fled to The Hague as a result of Louis XIV's revocation of the Edict of Nantes. Purchased in 1783 by Theodorus van Haaren, pastry chef, whose coffee-addicted associate, Mr Hendrik des H.R. Imperial Baron Hop, the high envoy of The States General to the Austrian Netherlands, accidentally caramelized coffee and thus had coffee bonbons made that were later named after him. Conveyed by inheritance to Franciscus Theodorus Nieuwerkerk, pastry and confectioner, producer of The Hague Hopjes, whose son Petrus Nieuwerkerk - the pastry chef, confectioner, ice cream maker and producer of the Haagse Hopjes bonbons, had the facades of numbers 92 and 94 demolished and rebuilt in an eclectic style.
