Inscription. Built for St. Michael’s Church Rectory by Miller & Fullerton. Sold in 1823 to Dr. William Read, who served in the Revolution as Surgeon General of the Colonial Army. Now a private residence.
 
Erected by Preservation Society of Charleston.
