This memorial plaque is dedicated to those members of the Lions Club of Centreville who served in the armed forces of the United States of America and returned home to serve their community in the ideals of freedom and liberty for which they fought. May we always remember the contributions that they made toward the betterment of the town of Centreville.

We honor "Jim Pippin" for his devoted service to the community and its citizens.
Jim was a graduate of Centreville High School, class of 1942; Veteran of the US Army, World War II; Member of the American Legion; Charter Member of the Lions Club of Centreville, Maryland; Centreville Business Man; Queen Anne's County Proprietor; CEO, Chairman of the Board and President of the Centreville National Bank of Maryland; President of the Maryland Banker's Association, 1983-1984; Member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, as well as many other local organizations.
We honor Jim's life and his commitment to his family, friends and community.
