Plymouth in Grafton County, New Hampshire — The American Northeast (New England)
The Frost House
The poetry of Robert Lee Frost is a cornerstone of American literature as it celebrates history, landscape and the human spirit.
Frost's year of teaching at Plymouth Normal School while living here (1911-12) was one of deep introspection. He and his family next resided in England where he published "A Boy's Will" and "North of Boston".
He left Plymouth as teacher and returned to America as acclaimed poet and celebrated man of letters. It is from this place that he took the road "less traveled by" and for the world "that has made all the difference".
