1. The PG&E Tower Marker
Inscription. This tower has been named for Pacific Gas and Electric Company in appreciation of its gift of light to the Golden Gate Bridge. PG&E made the largest single private contribution toward the permanent lightning of the twin towers, installed for the bridge's 50th anniversary celebration, May 24, 1987. This gift symbolizes PG&E's bonds with the people it serves.
