Inscription. The Advance Professionals wrote the book on live event promotion. Since the early days of P.T. Barnum, it has been the work of those who executed the tour planning, marketing, advertising, sponsorship, and public relations that made the circus a financial success. The circus has always been a combination of equal parts art and business, and without attention to the business of the circus there would be no show. The Advance Professionals, whose efforts sold the tickets providing an audience for the artists are being honored for their contributions to the industry. Many alumni of this group have gone on to become agents, show producers and educators. You will find them in the leadership of media companies, venues, major league sports, arts, and entertainment.
