1. Keeper's Quarters Marker
Inscription. This frame structure was built in 1887, replacing the first quarters which was smaller in size. Its design was standard for light stations in the south, and was used at several locations in Florida. The building was spacious and provided lodgings for Lighthouse, Coast Guard and Navy personnel until it was opened as a museum in 1966.
