1. Stables Marker
Inscription. The barn was an integral part of the brewery, providing shelter for livestock and housing wagons used to build the brewery and deliver the beer. In December 1903, Chippewa Times wrote: "Possessing one horse and a democrat wagon, [John] Miller could be seen on the streets every day hauling lumber from the mill with which to build the brewery. During their first year, Jacob and John produced and delivered 400 barrels with a one-horse 'shay, this horse being fondly known as Kate. The jolly cargo delivered by Kate was welcomed by the thirsty, hardworking citizens of Chippewa Falls."
