This lot was first purchased by Jacob Bogard from Francois Corso in 1837. The property has ties to several historically notable people, including Jacques Andre dit LaFleur (a/k/a "Tapske," Governor Bienville's Choctaw and Creek interpreter, whose son acquired the original land grant), John March, a wealthy New Orleans merchant, and Captain Webb from the Quirk family of steamboat fame. The property is now owned by a descendant of the original LaFleur family.
