Regarding Old U.S. Post Office. From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History:
Built in 1915-16, this former post office building was designed under the direction of Oscar Wenderoth (1871-1938), Supervising Architect of the Treasury from 1912 to 1915, and completed under the administration of James A. Wetmore [1863-1940], Acting Supervising Architect of the Treasury from 1915 to 1933. As a Spanish Colonial style governmental building it is unusual for Mississippi. It ceased to be used as a post office in 1988 and was transferred to Madison County in 1989.
