Inscription. Smith, Sr. was an accomplished gymnast before learning the flying trapeze performing with his first wife Jean, the Rocksmith Flyers, winning the Circus World Championship in 1976 in England. He built his first cannon in early ‘80s debuting on Hubert Castle Circus. Eventually, all the Smith children became human cannonballs, the most famous being David “The Bullet” Smith, Jr. He has broken six Guinness World Records and is the highest and farthest flying cannonball to this day. The Smith Family has performed their astonishing act for circuses and events worldwide and on numerous television shows. For three decades they have thrilled audiences with their daredevilry.
