1. Missionary Union Baptist Church Marker
Inscription.
Organized by enslaved people in 1833, Missionary Union Baptist Church is among the oldest black congregations in northeast Mississippi. After emancipation, the church was chartered in 1867 during the pastorate of Rev. Jesse Freeman Boulden. The congregation moved here in 1871. The current church was renovated in 1977.
 
Erected 2021 by Mississippi Department of Archives and History.

2. Missionary Union Baptist Church Marker
church in Northeast Mississippi. Organized during the days of slavery, services were held in the afternoons on Sundays and Wednesdays in the basement of the First Baptist Church.
