1. Nyberg's Ace Bandstand Marker
Inscription.
Nyberg's Ace Bandstand. . In pioneer times, much of the entertainment was "home made." Rural schools and churches were social centers where lectures, debates, contests, recitations, and music delighted farm families. In small towns, the bandstands in the park were where people gathered on soft summer afternoons and evenings to listen to band music and speeches by visiting celebrities.,
We are grateful to Kevin and Linda Nyberg for bringing new interest in regional history to Pioneer Lane, and to Dennis Harris, Gayle Emmel, and Darrell Emmel and many more for their hard work in erecting this replica structure..
