1. Fersdahl Log Cabin Marker
Inscription. Fashioned of maple logs harvested from the banks of the Big Sioux River near Renner, this rustic home was built by Lars Kvernmo with the help of neighbors John Nelson (one of the first Norwegian immigrants in Minnehaha county) and Ole Gilseth. It has outlasted floods and prairie fires and was occupied by the Kvernmos, then by their nephew, Thomas Fersdahl, and by generations of Fersdahls.
