[English] These small ore cars could be pushed by hand (hand tramming) or hauled by an electric locomotive along an underground railway system. The cars could be loaded by hand (shovel), by a mucking machine, or by opening a chute that tapped broken ore in a stope. The cars had to be brought to surface and pushed by hand to the ore bin where they were dumped. With a well-balanced load, the car could be easily tipped with one hand.
