Errichtet im 9. Jahrhundert als erste Klosterkirche der Abtei St. Mang diente die Kapelle später vor allem den Rittern Freiberg-Eisenberg als Grablege. Ein eindrückliches Memento mori stellt der „Füssener Totentanz" dar. Unter dem Motto „Sagt Ja, Sagt Nein, Getanzt Mueß Sein" folgen die einzelnen Stände der frühneuzeitlichen Gesellschaft, angeführt von Papst und Kaiser, dem Tod.

• berühmter Monumental-Totentanz von Jakob Hiebeler, 1602
• zahlreiche Epitaphe und Totenschilde aus dem 16. und 17. Jahrhundert
• spätgotische Skulptur der „Anna Selbdritt"

English:
Built in the 9th century as the first monastery church of St Mang Abbey, the chapel later served above all the Freiberg-Eisenberg knights as a sepulchre. The Füssen Dance of Death is an impressive reminder of death. Under the motto „Say yes, say no, on the dance must go" the individual classes of early modern times follow, headed by the pope and emperor, Death.
