Excerpt (in translation): Modest Camille Debue, known as “Debrixe”, was born in Belgium on June 16, 1896. A watchmaker-jeweller by profession, he also ran a cycle store at the start of the war, at the corner of rue de Paris and Impasse du Chatel. In June 1940, Gonesse was bombed and many of its inhabitants left the town for fear of the German advance. On the night of June 14 to 15, 1940, the first enemy soldiers entered Gonesse and, on the morning of the 15th, some stopped at Modeste Debrixe's house, ordering him to

Although difficult to ascertain from this photo, it is said that bullet holes are still visible here on the remains of the entrance. Enlarging the photo does reveal what appears to be such, both a bit below the plaque and possibly on the interior wall.
