Le théâtre aménagé par l'architecte Ritcher dans la salle des fêtes bâtie en 1902 accueille tour à tour représentations dramatiques, lyriques, chorégraphiques, remises de médailles ou de prix, bals, matches...de boxe ou de catch, galas et meetings politiques. Il garde cette polyvalence jusqu'à la "décentralisation théâtrale", à la fin des années 1950. Baptisé en 1960 Théâtre Gérard Philipe, en hommage au comédien disparu l'année précédente, puis rénové en 1969, il est consacré désormais aux multiples approches de l'art théâtral. De part et d'autre du bâtiment, une ancienne caserne de pompiers a été transformée en 1977 pour créer la salle Jean-Marie Serreau, ainsi qu'un atelier de réparation de décors, et un gymnase, aménagé en cinéma depuis 1982.

(English translation:)
The theater designed by the architect Ritcher in the municipal hall built in 1902 hosted dramatic, lyrical, and choreographic performances, medal or prize ceremonies, balls, boxing or wrestling matches, galas and political meetings. It retained this versatility until "theatrical decentralization" at the end of the 1950s. In 1960 it was renamed the Théâtre Gérard Philipe, in homage to the actor who died the previous year, then renovated in 1969, it is now devoted to the multiple approaches of theatrical art. On either side of the building, a former fire station was in 1977 transformed to create the Jean-Marie Serreau room, as well as a set repair workshop, and a gymnasium, converted into a cinema since 1982.
