Inscription. This house was built 1910 by Henry S. Harmon and sold to his kinsman John Marlin Sessions in 1913. Both men were experienced sawmill men who worked the nearby lumber on Massalina Bayou to provide materials for much needed new houses in the brand-new town of Panama City (incorp. 1909). Before 1919 the house was sold to William M. Gaar and then in 1925 was purchased by James A. & Laura I. Biggs of Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Biggs lived here until 1954 and were owners of "Ideal Millinery" and "The Surprise Store located on Harrison Ave. as well as the Cove Filling Station and Grocery built 1926 just across from the Cove Hotel. In 1955 the property was sold to Thomas L. and Lille M. Guenther - parents of Glenn N. Cooper. Glenn & Mary "Sue" Cooper were longtime owners of "Coopers News Agency" located on Harrison Ave. for many years. It was sold out of the family in 1993 but has been a part of life "in the Cove" for 103 + years (2013).
