1. Bay Harbor/Andrews Family House Marker
Inscription. This one-story house originally sat on the curve of E. Hwy. 98 across from the "Martin House." It was built circa 1911 by the Moore Timber Company and used as one of the many homes for those employed at the big sawmill operation from 1910-1922. It was rented by the Myles Andrews Family in 1933 and purchased in 1944. It was moved to this site in 1950 when the International Paper Co. was expanding the plant at Bay Harbor. Myles & wife Bessie Andrews lived here and owned the house until 1977. It well represents many of the early houses that were moved around in the Millville community throughout the years. Andrews and literally thousands of others came to Millville after 1931 to be employed at the new paper mill. From 1931 through the present the big paper mill has provided a proud livelihood for thousands of Bay County families.
