1. The C.M. “Kid” Harris House Marker

Inscription. This frame house was built in 1922 by the St. Andrews Bay Lumber Company on the site of the original "Old School Property at Millville". The school was operated from 1908 to 1917 until a new brick school was built on East Avenue. The C.M. "Kid" Harris family moved to this house in Millville from Dothan in 1923 and purchased it in 1934. They owned it until 1994 after living here for more than 70 years. C.M. "Kid" Harris served as a Panama City Commissioner, Ward One from 1934 to 1938 and from 1975 until his death in 1982. The Park across the street was named to honor him in 1934.
