Inscription. This building was erected in 1930 by Dr. A. H. Miller after a massive fire that destroyed the earlier business structures located at this corner of the "Parker-Millville Road." The fire occurred on November 30, 1929. After Dr. Miller had this new building erected, many small businesses have occupied the site throughout the years. Dr. Miller was a physician, Chairman of the Board of Public Instruction, a founding member of the Bay County Medical Society (1916) and a well loved member of the business, social and civic life of Millville. The one-story brick structure is attached by a “party wall” to the building at the immediate left. Dr. Miller also maintained a small office for his medical practice located at the back of the building.
