Inscription. The original building next door burned and was rebuilt at this location by the A. B. Lander family. It was the largest hardware store in Kentucky.

The only vacation Mr. Jimmy Lander ever took, was to a hardware convention in Northern Kentucky. Though kids bought their first knives and guns from Mr. Jimmy, the windows rarely escaped soaping on Halloween.

Erected by City of LaFayette, Kentucky.
