Excerpt (in translation): On August 15, 1944 around 8 p.m. a shooting broke out on Rue de la Voie Verte in front of the former bus depot occupied by German soldiers in the 14th arrondissement, then Porte d'Orléans. Wehrmacht soldiers returned fire towards the church of Montrouge and the Porte de Chatillon. Elements of the Wehrmacht deployed on Avenue d’Orléans and asked passers-by and residents to enter the buildings. According to the testimony of Huguette B… who accompanied Louis Brélivet, the latter fired his administrative weapon at an officer and a German soldier, injuring them. Around 10:30 p.m., two plainclothes guards sent by the commissioner discovered his body lying on the ground in front of 43 rue Ernest Reyer, a large wound on his left side seemed to indicate that he had been killed by a grenade shrapnel...(Submitted on April 30, 2024.)
