As we honor the ancient warriors of Greece, we honor Greek-Americans who served to preserve freedom.
 
Erected 2011 by American Legion Hellenic Post 343.

5. Hellenic American Veterans Memorial
The rear tablet includes a list of past presidents, medal recipients and people who helped erect this memorial in Elmwood Cemetery.
tablet includes the name of Greek-Americans who died in battle since World War I; many but not all of the war dead on the back of the front tablet were from the Chicago area, and some of the people listed are buried at here at Elmwood. The fronts of the three other tablets appear to list all Greek-American veterans (too many to list here). The back of the final tablet includes a list of all past commanders of Hellenic Post 343, which erected this monument, and below that a list of Greek-American medal recipients.
