Inscription.
Lloyd Edward "Shad" Heller spent over 25 years at the City's forge & anvil.

Shad created memories for millions though his wit, humor & all-around character.

In addition to his roles as Silver Dollar City's resident blacksmith and the City's first mayor, Shad was known for his directing and acting in both Shepherd of the Hills outdoor pageant as well as the Corncrib Theater Toby Show. He also had a leading role in the 5 Beverly Hillbillies episodes shot right here in the streets of the City.

This structure is a replica of the house that Shad and Molly Heller made their home, which was located just a few feet from this very spot. The chimney has been reconstructed from the original rock work.

Shad Heller… a role model for our Citizens in creating memories worth repeating, in a manner consistent with Christian values & ethics.

Erected by Silver Dollar City.
