La Loggetta, concepita come corpo di guardia, è progettata da Jacopo Sansovino tra il 1537 ed il 1549. Opera di scultura oltreché di architettura, si sviluppa su tre arcate riccamente ornate di marmi e bronzi. II Campanile, costruito nel XII sec., riedificato ai primi del '500, crolla nel 1902 e viene ricostruito com'era entro il 1912. Accessibile al pubblico, offre dall'alto uno straordinario panorama della città.

St. Mark's Square a World Heritage site

The Loggetta was designed by Jacopo Sansovino in 1537-1549 and was initially intended as a guard post. A work of both sculpture and architecture, it comprises a three-arch arcade richly decorated with works in marble and bronze. The Bell-Tower was built in the twelfth century and then entirely rebuilt in the first years of the sixteenth century. After that structure collapsed in 1902, it was rebuilt exactly as it had been, with work being completed by 1912. Open to the public, the tower provides an extraordinary view of

Markusplatz ein Weltkulturgut

Die Loggetta, die kleine Vorhalle, wurde zwischen 1537-1549 von Jacopo Sansovino konzipiert und diente zunächst als Standort für die Palastwache. Das Bauwerk zeichnet sich vor allem durch den reichen Skulpturenschmuck aus und besteht aus drei Arkaden, die reich mit Werken aus Marmor und Bronze verziert sind. Der Campanile, der Glockenturm, wurde im 12. Jahrhundert errichtet und im frühen 16. Jahrhundert umgebaut. Nach dem Einsturz im Jahre 1902 wurde er originalgetreu wiederaufgebaut und schließlich 1912 fertig gestellt. Die Glockenstube kann besichtigt werden und bietet von oben einen atemberaubenden Blick über die Stadt.

3. The Loggetta and Bell-Tower
bell tower in Saint Mark's Square, Venice, Italy. Built by Jacopo Sansovino between 1538 and 1546, it served at various times as a gathering place for nobles and for meetings of the procurators of Saint Mark, the officials of the Venetian Republic who were responsible principally for the administration of the treasury of the Church of Saint Mark and for the public buildings around Saint Mark's Square.
