Caratterizzata ad litoni in marmo rosso risalenti al 1722, è delim ol feido dalla struttura neoclassica del Palazzo Piterale, ealizzato tra il 1836 e il 1850 su progetto d. Lorenzo Santi. A sinistra è la chiesa di San Basso (1676) e a destra la facciata settentrionale della Basilica dian Marco, rivestita di marmi, alcuni dei quali splendidamente scolpiti (Porta dei Fiori).

St. Mark's Square a World Heritage site
This takes its name from the two small lions [Leoncini] in red marble (1722). At the far end stands the neo-classical structure of the Patriarch's Palace, built in 1836-1850 to designs by Lorenzo Santi. To the left is the church of San Basso (1676) and to the right the north wall of St. Mark's Basilica, adorned with splendid carved marble decoration (Porta dei Fiori).

Dieser kleine Platz verdankt seinen Namen den dort aufgestellten Löwen [Leoncini] aus rotem Marmor (1722) und wird an der östlichen Breitseite von dem Palazzo Patriarcale abgeschlossen, der zwischen 1836 und 1850 nach Plänen von Lorenzo Santi im klassizistischen Stil erbaut wurde. Die Piazzetta wird links von der Kirche San Basso (1676) und rechts von der nördlichen Fassadenseite der Markusbasilika eingerahmt, die mit prachtvollem Marmor verkleidet ist (insbesondere die Porta dei Fiori ist reich gemeißelt).

Caractérisée par deux lions en marbre rouge (1722), elle est close par le Palais Patriarcal qui a été réalisé en style néoclassique entre 1836 et 1850, sur un projet de Lorenzo Santi. Cette petite place est flanquée, à gauche, de l'église de San Basso (1676) et l'on peut admirer, sur la droite, façade septentrionale de la Basilique de Saint-Marc, entièrement revêtue de marbres dont certains sont remarquablement sculptés (Porta dei Fiori).

Piazzetta dei Leoncini is a city square in Venice, Italy. The square is located on the north side of the St Mark's Basilica, near the Palazzo Patriarcale and San Basso. The square is known for its lion statuary.
