Inscription. The Hammond Marina was featured in the final scene of the movie when young Jesse helps free his killer whale friend, Willy, by leading the orca to jump over the harbor wall to freedom and into the ocean beyond.

Did You Know? Keiko, a 13 year old Orcinus orca whale, played Willy in many of the live action shots. Several specially created animatronic whales stood in for Keiko in the more complicated scenes.
