Amsterdam, 12 november 1915 - onbekend, 1969

(“National Support Fund” - clandestine relief). Paff was present at one of the largest resistance actions during the Second World War: the liberation of imprisoned resistance fighters from House of Detention at the Weteringschans. The raid on May 1, 1944, led by sculptor Gerrit van der Veen, failed because a watchdog raised the alarm. The second robbery, led by Johannes Post, in the night of July 14 to 15 of that year was betrayed. The German commandos appeared to be aware of the plan and unexpectedly opened fire on the raiding party. Jaap Paff was able to escape and survived the war. There are no further details known about him. He may have emigrated to Australia with his family.
