1. Troedrhiwdalar Welsh Congregational Church Marker
Inscription. The Troedrhiwdalar Welsh Congregational Church was organized by Reverend Rees Powell in 1839 for the Welsh pioneers in the southern part of Radnor Township. The first meeting house was built of logs in 1842. Membership grew quickly and the log structure was replaced by the current brick structure in 1849. The church was called Troedrhiwdalar as most of its members were former members of a church by the same name in Wales, and to distinguish it from the Congregational Church located in the village of Delhi/Radnor. About 1905, the church became known as Radnor South, and around 1917 it ceased operations. Reverend Powell died in 1893 at the age of 88. His body lies in the church burying ground, along with his wife Elizabeth, two young daughters and son.
