Der King of Rock'n'Roll persönlich verbrachte seine ersten Tage in Deutschland - in Bad Homburg - im damaligen Ritter's Parkhotel!

Egon Steigenberger war genau zu dieser Zeit Direktor des Hotels und staunte nicht schlecht, als plötzlich die Familie Presley am 03. Oktober 1958 für drei Tage eincheckte. Elvis durfte seine Familie am 4. Oktober bis zum 6. Oktober 1958 in Bad Homburg besuchen. Die erste Station des US-Soldaten Presley in Deutschland.

The King of Rock'n'Roll himself spent his first days in Germany - in Bad Homburg - in what was then the Ritter's Parkhotel!

Egon Steigenberger was the hotel's director at the time and was amazed when the Presley family suddenly checked in for three days on October 3, 1958. Elvis was allowed to visit his family in Bad Homburg from October 4 to October 6, 1958. The US soldier Presley's first stop in Germany.

in 1958 at Ritters Parkhotel, today's Steigenberger Hotel. The hotel on the Kaiser-Friedrich-Promenade was the Presley clan's first address in Germany. The plaque shows hotel director Egon Steigenberger welcoming the Presley clan to their three-day stay in the spa town. Father Vernon, grandmother Minnie Mae, his friends Red West and Lamar Fike, and two bodyguards arrived by plane from the United States. They took up their first quarters at the Bad Homburg hotel on October 4, 1958. Elvis had arrived by ship five days earlier and was housed in the Ray Barracks in Friedberg. He was given two days of special leave, which he spent with his family at Ritters Parkhotel. His room at the time, 206, was renamed the "Elvis Presley Suite" in 2019. After their stay in Bad Homburg, the Elvis clan moved on to Hilberts Parkhotel in Bad Nauheim...
