Former hotel "Cafe du Parc". From 1880 Hotel Windsor, later Schlosshotel (“Castle Hotel”). The Russian writer Fyodor Dostoyevsky lived in this house in 1870. The English writer George Eliot stayed here in 1872. Their impressions of Bad Homburg were incorporated into the novels "The Gambler" (Dostoyevsky) and "Daniel Deronda" (Eliot).
