A sure-handed second baseman, Rich Dauer spent his entire 10-year career with the Orioles, 1976-85. He holds two American League fielding records for second basemen, 86 consecutive errorless games and 425 consecutive errorless chances. Led AL second basemen in fielding in 1981 and had the fewest errors three times. His .987 career fielding percentage was highest among second basemen who played during his career and ranks 13th all-time. Ranks among the top 15 players in club history in games, hits, and doubles. Members of the 1983 World Championship team and 1979 AL pennant winning teams.
