The 2015 Herb Armstrong Award winner spent more than 50 years in baseball as an amateur and professional scout, scouting director, and special assistant, the last 30 years with the Orioles before retiring in 2015. Joined the Orioles in 195 as scouting director and set up the team's first academies in the Dominican Republic and Venezuela. Responsible for signing numerous future Orioles including Steve Finley, Gregg Olson and Arthur Rhodes. Honored regionally and nationally for his scouting acumen, including the Professional Baseball Scouts Foundation's Legends in Scouting award in 2011.
