The Orioles true "iron man," umpires attendant Ernie Tyler has been a familiar and constant presence at home games since Opening Day, 1960. He is honored as the Herb Armstrong winner for his remarkable feat of working more than 3,500 consecutive home games. More than just tending to the umpires and providing them baseball during games, the Baltimore native also works tirelessly to promote baseball and the Orioles at events throughout the region year-round.
