George Bamberger was the Orioles pitching coach for 10 years (1968-1977) and during his tenure the Orioles pitchers produced 18 20-game winning seasons. Professional playing career covered 18 seasons, 15 at Triple-A. Pitched in the majors with the Giants and Orioles. Served as minor league pitching coordinator before being named to the major league staff in October 1967.
