Bill Hunter was elected to the Orioles Hall of Fame in 1996. Hunter was the Orioles shortstop when the team moved to Baltimore from St. Louis in 1954. He returned to the Orioles in 1964 as the Orioles third base coach and served in that capacity through four pennant winning seasons and two World Series titles. He left the Orioles in June of 1977 to manage the Texas Rangers. In two seasons he led the Rangers to a 146-108 record and his .575 winning percentage is the highest in Rangers history (thru the '95 season).
