Inscription.
Lee MacPhail was a longtime baseball executive who served as Orioles president and general manager. He joined the organization following the 1958 season and built the club's farm system. Before leaving the team for a position in the Commissioner's Office, he put together the December 1965 trade that brought Frank Robinson to the Orioles, which led to four pennants in a six-year stretch. Inducted in Baseball's Hall of Fame in 1998, and joined his father Larry as the only father-son inductees.
