J. Frank Cashen, a native Baltimorean, spent 10 years, 1966-1975, as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager. During that span, the Orioles won two World Series titles, four American League pennants, and five A.L. Eastern Division titles. Initially responsible for the business and promotion side of the ballclub, Cashen later directed the baseball operations as well, acquiring or drafting such players as Ken Singleton, Lee May, Eddie Murray, and Mike Flanagan, all of whom became Orioles Hall of Famers.
