Steve Barber, who jumped all the way from Class D to the majors in one year (1960), was the Orioles first 20-game winner, in 1963. A year earlier pitched eight shutouts during an 18-win season. He earned 95 career victories during six and on-half seasons for the Orioles, including 15 against the dominant New York Yankees teams of that era.
