Regarding C.A. Bope House. Excerpt from the National Register nomination for the East Gambier Street District, which includes this property:
C.A.Bope House, 207 E. Gambier St.; in excellent repair, this large, Greek revival house has a very precise Ionic portico to the right of the facade. The original two-story win[g] to the rear has a one-story porch. The house forms a pleasing composition with the mirror image across the side street to the east.
