1. D.H. Budd Buggies Marker
Inscription. D.H. Budd was an enterprising businessman who operated a buggy “infirmary” at this location in the 1880s. Equivalent to a used car dealer of today, Budd would find broken buggies and wagons, bring them to his shop, and repair them for resale. He also sponsored a civic band which marched in parades.

This structure is a significant example of a combined residence and business often built in small towns during the mid to late 19th century.

A wide variety of businesses have called this address home including many with familiar Westerville family names: McLeod Shoes, Emery Irwin Pool Room, Yantis Cleaners, and Ernsberger's Flowers and Seed Store. Schneider's Bakery renovated the building and opened in 1958.
