Inscription. From 1941 to 1967, Isaly's Dairy Store occupied this structure which had an Art Deco influenced design. Isaly's was one of the first chain businesses to come to Uptown.

The Isaly family, Swiss immigrants who settled in Monroe County, Ohio, formed the Isaly's Dairy Company to sell fresh dairy products (especially ice cream), deli meats, and cheeses in Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia chain stores. Westerville residents enjoyed stopping here for one of the legendary “skyscraper cones” or a chipped chopped ham sandwich.

After Isaly's closed, this building housed other popular Westerville businesses including the Westerville Bike Shop and Toots Tobacco and Book Den.

Erected by Uptown Westerville Inc.
