Excerpt from the Ohio Historic Inventory form on the house:
… this is a fine example of the braced-framed architecture of the early 19th century. Except for the recent shingle covering, the structure is significant for its intact state of preservation. An important link with the New England heritage of the community as a consequence of its “saltbox”-like form.
