Early blacksmith & wagon building factory of Charles Fogalsang located on this site, between 1850 & 1859. Taken over by Theodore J. Steinbower in 1864. Steinbower became Dublin's second mayor in 1881 (the 1st mayor after permanent incorporation). He operated blacksmith shop here until 1906. This structure was built by him in 1877.
