1. Michael Marlett - Charles Wixom House Marker
The south section of this Michigan farmhouse was built circa 1840 by pioneer settlers Michael and May Marlett, owners of the surrounding 160 acres, 1834-1867. Charles and Eliza Wixom purchased the farm in 1867 and built the north portion visible from 12 Mile road in the 1870's upon a stone foundation with 9' ceilings throughout. Produce, dairy, sheep and an orchard typical of the 19th century were to be found.
