1. David Joseph Betts Marker
Inscription. David Joseph Betts lived life to the fullest and loved to play and compete. He loved God, his family, his friends and life. He grew up in Bryan, Ohio, and approached everything with his whole heart. A talented musician, he was an honor student and participated in cross country, basketball and baseball. He continued his passion for baseball at Bluffton, where he worked his way up to starting second baseman after not making the travel team his first year. A pre-med major, he was contemplating various occupations in the science and education fields. David's greatest attribute was that he genuinely cared about others and their feelings. His disarming smile and ability to laugh at himself, made others laugh with him. David is remembered for the way his personality positively touched everyone he met.
