Inscription.
This monument was erected to honor the men of the 119th Regiment, of the 30th Infantry Division, who gave their lives in the liberation of Valkenburg, so that its citizens may continue to live in peace

(The liberation of Valkenburg was only a fact after the German cannon here in the background had been taken out of action. Until the morning of September 17th, 1944, it had sown death and destruction in the city and among the liberators.)

Erected 1989.
