This bench is dedicated to all the professionals - planners, engineers, construction managers, and tradespeople - who worked tirelessly to make the Green Line Extension (GLX) a reality from its conceptional stages in the 1980s to the completion of the project in 2022.

In found memory of Steve Taylor, Marcus Ehrhart, Larry Williamson, Jimmy Green, and Edward Sherkanowki whose personal dedication and relentess service to GLX lives on in this long-awaited benefit to the public.

city during the "Big Dig" which tore down the elevated portion of I-93 in Boston and replaced it with a tunnel which reconnected Boston's North End with the rest of the city and allowed the construction of the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
